Tami Ehlers Named New Controller and Director, Investment Accounting at Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies

Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies (MACP) announced that Tami Ehlers has been promoted to Controller and Director, Investment Accounting. In this new Role, Tami will be responsible for directing core accounting activities including financial reporting, transaction processing, and systems of internal controls while continuing to manage the organization’s investment accounting operations.

Tami joined MACP in 2013 as Manager, Investment Accounting, where she managed MACP’s investment accounting operations and provided accounting and financial reporting expertise to MACP’s grantmaking entities.

“Tami has not only played a key role in managing our investment accounting function, but she has also provided leadership on several important initiatives and projects at the Philanthropies,” said Naomi Horsager, Chief Financial Officer at MACP. “Her knowledge and expertise, combined with exceptional work in her tenure at MACP make her an ideal fit for this new role.”

Prior to joining the Philanthropies, Tami was an Audit Senior Manager at KPMG, LLP. There she specialized in the investment management industry, providing audit services to a variety of public and private entities, including hedge funds, private equity funds, and registered investment companies. Tami earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Luther College. She is a Certified Public Accountant.
