Each summer, interns at MACP collaborate with teams on projects that sharpen their skills and foster intergenerational learning. From expanding their networks to deepening their knowledge of the role of philanthropy in society, our interns grew both as students and as emerging professionals. Please join us as we celebrate them and their accomplishments and wish them well in their next opportunities.
Olivia Gin, Intern, Investments. Olivia (she/her) joined our Investments team, where she worked closely with both the Credit Strategies Group and the broader Investments Team to contribute analysis on several prospective investments and helped the team digest a significant amount of ESG data collected across existing private markets managers. Last summer, she was an intern in the Investment Office at Rush University Medical Center, and she also previously interned at Ariel Investments, a global asset management firm based in Chicago. Olivia is a second-year student majoring in Economics in the Trott Business Program at the University of Chicago, with a dual major in Chemistry, and a minor in Chinese.
Natalie Miner, Intern, Investments. Natalie (she/her) joined our Investments team where she assisted with various projects, contributing to several strategic asset allocation research projects and helping conduct investment due diligence on a prospective investment. She completed a summer intensive program with Girls Who Invest, where she participated in a rigorous 4-week training program focusing on finance and investment concepts and skills. Natalie is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics from Duke University with anticipated graduation of May 2028.
Irvin Sibri, Intern, Enterprise Risk Management. Irvin (he/him) joined our ERM team and supported international travel risk assessments, helped define and develop a preparedness framework for assessing and calculating risk preparedness, and enhanced existing crisis response protocols and other ERM documentation. He has also interned at the University of St. Thomas, Minnesota as an IT Intern where he provided technical support, assisted with system administration, and contributed to day-to-day IT operations. He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science with an expected graduation of June 2028.
Camryn Smith, Intern, Legal. Camryn (she/her) joined the Legal team, supporting a variety of research, grantmaking, governance, and operational projects while gaining exposure to how an in-house legal team operates. She previously interned at Sala 1: International Center for Contemporary Art. She also interned at the University of Texas at Austin in the Public Art Program, and with the Dallas Museum of Art. Camryn is a J.D. candidate at the University of Minnesota Law School with an anticipated graduation date of May 2028. She has a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Texas at Austin.
Salina Thor, Intern, Finance. Salina (she/her) joined the Finance team and contributed to projects such as Schedule K-1 reviews, vendor W-9 review, and Form 990 peer data compilation and validation. She is currently a Student Trainer and Customer Service Associate at the University of Minnesota Bookstores, where she trains employees, supports students and faculty, and handles transactions accurately using POS systems. She’s also a Licensed Resident Insurance Producer at Thor Insurance Agency, Inc. Salina is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business, Accounting at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management, with an expected graduation date of May 2027.
Jaileah Yang, Intern, Finance. Jaileah (she/her) joined the Finance team and assisted the team with various projects including Schedule K-1 reviews, foreign forms, and 990 peer data compilation and validation. She is currently a Carlson Outreach Ambassador and Emerging Leaders of Color Mentor, where she supports high schoolers on their academic journey. Jaileah is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business in Finance and Accounting at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management, with an expected graduation date of May 2028.
