MACP Condemns Racism and Sexism in the Atlanta Shootings

We at Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies (MACP) are outraged by the increased violence against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders since the beginning of the pandemic as well as by the recent attacks in Georgia that took eight lives, six of whom were Asian American women. We condemn all acts of racism, sexism, xenophobia, misogyny, and violence. We grieve for the loss of the eight victims in Atlanta and stand together in opposition to racist and gendered violence.

MACP will continue to support work in our local community to address issues of racism and inequity, and apply an equity lens to our grantmaking strategies.
