New hires at MACP from Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, four new staff members joined Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies (MACP). Their aptitude, expertise, and insights will support MACP in achieving our mission, through their work on our Finance, Enterprise Risk Management, and Investment teams.

Please join us in welcoming them to MACP.

Dustin Childs, Senior Finance Specialist, Finance. Dustin provides support for the annual budget process, leading the day-to-day grant payment process, and engaging in various core accounting activities. Dustin has been working at MACP as a Senior Investment Accountant contractor since February 2023. Prior to MACP, he worked for Robert Half Management Resources Division and at an investment firm in the Twin Cities. Dustin has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance, with an emphasis in investment analysis and corporate finance from Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Franco Cordeiro, Director, Enterprise Risk Management. Franco leads MACP’s efforts to design and implement enhanced risk management strategies that support MACP in achieving its mission, including fostering a culture where an understanding of risk concepts and organization values guide staff in risk-aware decision making. Prior to MACP, he worked for Medtronic, KPMG Consulting, and Macquarie Bank. Franco has a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia.

Rathin Kacham, Senior Investment Analyst, Equity Strategies. Rathin (he/him) assists the Equity Strategies team in the implementation and management of the equity portfolio. Prior to MACP, he worked at Google. Rathin has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Notre Dame. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Faith Onsomu, Assistant Controller, Finance. Faith leads key reporting and assurance activities of the Finance department, with a focus on internal controls, resource planning and financial reporting, as well as regular collaboration with internal and external partners. Prior to MACP, she worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and the National Bank of Kenya. Faith has a master’s degree in business administration in finance from the United States International University.
