New hires at MACP from Q2 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, two new staff members joined Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies (MACP). Their expertise and insights will support MACP in achieving our mission, specifically to our Information Technology and Evaluation & Organizational Learning teams.

Please join us in welcoming them to MACP.

Brook Abebe, Technical Support Specialist, Information Technology. In this role, Brook (he/him) serves as first level support to identify and resolve various types of hardware and software problems, as well as create and maintain technical documentation for our user community. He has been working at MACP as a contractor in the IT support role since September 2024. Prior to that, he worked at Shutterfly and the University of Minnesota Duluth. Brook has a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Lloyd Owen Banwart, Officer, Evaluation & Organizational Learning. In this role, Lloyd (he/him) helps the organization reflect on its work, learn from experience, and apply insights to strengthen impact. He supports program teams across MACP in using evaluation and learning to inform decisions, adapt strategies, and deepen relationships. Prior to MACP, he worked at CARE and TANGO International. Lloyd has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and economics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a master’s degree in applied economics from Illinois State University.
