Katinka Domotorffy

Katinka Domotorffy is a member of the Investment Committees for Margaret A. Cargill Foundation and Anne Ray Foundation, both of which operate under the umbrella of Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies. The Investment Committees report directly to the Board of each philanthropy.

Katinka has been an Independent Trustee of the Putnam Funds since September 2012.  In that role, she oversees each fund’s business and helps protect the interests of shareholders.  Her specific responsibilities include reviewing each fund’s investment performance and the quality of services such as administration, custody, and investor servicing. She also oversees a thorough review of service fees paid to Putnam Management and its affiliates.

From 1998 until 2011, Katinka worked at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, most recently as a partner, Chief Investment Officer, and Global Head of Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS).  In this role, Katinka led a global team of 120 investment professionals responsible for more than $60 billion in assets managed on behalf of corporations, public and sovereign wealth plans, foundations and endowments, high-net-worth individuals, and retail clients.  She oversaw all aspects of a diversified asset management business including portfolio management, research, execution, risk management, product structuring, client communications, and marketing, as well as recruiting, training, compliance, legal, operations, technology, and infrastructure as related to the QIS business.

Katinka chairs the Great Lakes Science Center’s Investment Committee and serves on the board’s Executive Committee. She also serves on the board of College Now Greater Cleveland and the advisory board for the St. Jude Cleveland Dream Home.
